AFTER CUT GLASS

AFTER CUT GLASS

There is no such thing as an innocent bystander… Lose an arm or leg? Your body or your mind? Trapped in a body that doesn’t listen..   The despairing journey from the freedom you once knew to the realisation of the fear of the beginning of the end. Finally, eyes closed, suffocating invisible hands that choke your breath and soul.       Then. Absolution. From yourself.

You discover a rhythm more true than the original, past freedoms that seem prisons now, past shadows that are more opaque and tangible now,   a life now, but a character once you used to play..

Bharatanatyam trained dancer Seeta Patel meets physical theatre in a duet performance to tell a personally influenced story using her movement within the setting of a theatrical stage, a result of a collaboration with Jack Corcoran of acclaimed physical theatre company Kaos Theatre

Presented as a double bill with Laal Saari by Amina Khayyam
