She has a box of jewellery with her but she wears none of it. She is to be the bride of the chief of one of the Traveler Communities who lives in a different part of the country… and so continues this timeless story developed by Seema Anand with the Travelers’ Community in Cranford of a period from the 1800s, but timeless and equally modern of a somewhere contemporary today…

Laila is told in Punjabi by Satish Dutt on Desi Radio from a translation by Arjun Rayait, (artistic director of Punjabi Kalamunch).
