New Spring 2015 Season – full of radical new ideas!

We have three outstanding radical approaches to south Asian Classical Music feature in our Spring season

The season kicks off next week  – Wed Jan 21st – with a new commission The Bridge by Jasdeep Singh Degun, a Sitar Concerto scored for sitar and string quartet.

The Bridge, a work in progress commission explores melodic themes based on the more linear Indian classical ragas whilst opening up a new avenue of western classical harmony.

In Feb, we follow an existentialist dialogue by Hari Sivanesan with his Veena, the ancient instrument known for its beautiful sounds.

And finally in March, Jesse Bannister approaches Raga Ahir Bhairav with a uniquely placed instrumentation of the saxophone.

Tickets on sale as usual here on first come basis in the intimate space of the Karamel.
