SEENUNSEEN

The women’s centre Co-ordinator was a bit sceptical about workshops on the subject of Yerma … “ Women these days have a lot of choices, they can walk away, they can do this, that… so not sure this subject would work”.  Immediately after the workshop, a woman stood up..”This is my story”. And then another who said “My daughter is going through this,…”

A film made by women of St Hilda’s Centre and Liaise Women’s Centre, Woking, with Amina Khayyam during the outreach workshop programme of AKDC’s production of Yerma.

The source for this film came from the stories and experiences of participants, which ultimately led to Amina’s approach to her interpretation of Yerma’s character.
