zerOclassikal is pleased to receive ACE funding for a new set of commissioning new south Asian contemporary classical music.  The series titled Divergence will explore south Asian classical music in contemporary transition, change and influence.

The funds will enable eight new commissions of which four are to be full length and four to be short length. Each commission will receive mentoring in an area of choice – from composition, structural and dramaturgy. Once completed the pieces will be streamed and recorded before being ready for touring.

Divergence has been developed in partnership with Gem Arts, SouthAsian Arts UK and Essex Diversity Project.
